Preheating
Preheating may be required for particular materials, thicknesses and service conditions. Temperature requirements and control should follow the approved welding procedure and applicable project specification.
Post-weld heat treatment (PWHT)
Post-weld heat treatment can be specified to control residual stresses or achieve required material properties after welding. The process and parameters depend on the material, component and applicable requirements.
- Project and procedure review
- Defined heating and temperature-control requirements
- Local or furnace treatment scope, as applicable
- Treatment records and documentation
Discuss the treatment scope
Provide the material grade, component dimensions, welding procedure and applicable standard to our team so that the treatment requirements can be reviewed.
